500 kV substation “Imereti” should be repaired this year according to the plan-schedule agreed in advance with the National Dispatch Center of Georgia in the periods from May 4 to May 18, 2021 and from October 2 to October 7 inclusive.
Due to the ongoing repair works at the Engur HPP, “Imereti” was shut down until the end of April of this year, until the completion of the ongoing works in the arch dam and derivation tunnel.
We took advantage of this situation and from February 9 to February 14 of the current year, the “Imereti” was put into repair and a certain amount of repair work was performed. Due to bad weather conditions in Western Georgia, it was not possible to continue the work after February 14. Continuation of the repair work on the “Imereti” steamer was possible by putting the steamer into repair in the periods from March 8 to March 15 and from April 4 to April 30, during which time it was possible to carry out the planned repair work on the steamer, including the production of anti-corrosion protection works.
The personnel of the transport service and auto-special equipment were mobilized together with the personnel of the Tsalenjikh, Zestafoni, Khashuri and Tbilisi SSUs of JSC GE “Sakrusenergo” to carry out the repair work on the “Imereti” plant.
Andro Tskhadadze, the manager of the operation and construction of the Western Georgia hydroelectric power plant, monitored and coordinated the work during the period of the repair of the Imereti hydroelectric power plant. Felix Janashia, the head of the labor safety service, supervised the safe production of work by the staff. Guram Javshanashvili, the deputy head of the transport division, ensured the proper and smooth operation of the auto-special equipment during the period of the repair of the EGK.
About 50 personnel of JSC GE “Sakrusenergo” and 20 units of auto-special equipment were mobilized.Anti-corrosion protection works are carried out by the contractor company Antikori-80 LLC.
