On December 5, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natiya Turnava listened to the annual report of state energy companies, including Sakrusenergo.
Large state energy company “Sakrusenergo” received an operating profit in 2019. The company owns and manages power transmission lines with a voltage of 500, 330 and 220 kV, including lines connecting the power system of Georgia with Russia, Azerbaijan and Turkey. According to the general director of “Sakrusenergo” Bachana Suladze, it is important that in 2018-2019 the infrastructure of the company’s electric transmission functioned properly, therefore there were no emergency stops of the system during the specified period. According to Bachan Suladze, the financial indicators allow the company to implement the projects of the 10-year plan of development of the electric transport network of Georgia, which are important both for the stability and reliability of the energy system of Georgia, and for the further development of the company.
