According to the 10-year program to develop a network of transmission of the Georgian energy system, in the framework of the planned projects, the Company provided connection of 500 kV transmission line “Mukhrani” on bus S/s “Marneuli-500” and construction of 500 kV transmission line “Marneuli-Airum” from S/s “Marneuli 500 kV” to the Georgian-Armenian border.
September 2, 2016, was completed at the input of 500 kV transmission line “Mukhrani” in S/s “Marneuli-500.” Land of the transmission line “Mukhrani “, from the S/s “Ksani-500” to S/s “Marneuli-500” was given a new Dispatch name: 500 kV power transmission line “Asureti”. Above mentioned line length is 56 km. And it, along with 500 kV transmission line “Marneuli-Airum”, whose construction is scheduled for 2017, will be a significant event for the security and stability of the Georgian energy system, and also, increasing transit of the electric power.
