In agreement with the National Dispatch Center of Georgia, the 500 sq.m. “Kartli-2” was repaired from April 20, 2023 to May 2, 2023.
During the repair of the power plant, a significant part of the repair works to be performed on the 500 kV power plant “Kartli-2” provided for by the 2023 business plan of JSC “Sakrusenergo”, including: replacement of dirty and defective insulators, vibration dampers, discharge horns and protective screens Installation, straightening of clamps, repair of damaged wires in loops and slats, bulldozer access to masts and restoration of temporary roads in slats. Elevation inspection of individual sections of EGK, dismantling and replacement of one damaged AC-400/93 wire in EGK N179-N180 anchoring gear, replacement of both protective corroded wires in EGK N194-N204 anchoring gear with new ones. Urgent works were also performed on the N60 mast of the power station, where the damaged wires of the “A” and “C” phases were replaced in the loops, the mesh wire was repaired in the N106-N107 mall and others. In order to perform the remaining works provided for in the plan, it will be possible to put 500 kV Egkh “Kartli-2” in repair (for 10-12 days) with prior agreements with the National Dispatch Center in the month of August of this year.
Along with the personnel of Zestafoni and Khashuri SSUs, the personnel of Tbilisi and Tsalenjikhi SSUs, as well as the personnel of the transport service, were mobilized for the repair work of 500 sq.
During the period of repair of the “Kartli 2” hydroelectric power plant, the progress of the work was coordinated and monitored by Andro Tskhadadze, the manager of the operation and construction of the electric power plants of Western Georgia, and Vakhtang Kikvadze, the manager of the operation and construction of the electric power plants of Eastern Georgia. Felix Janashia, the head of the labor safety service, and Demuri Buadze, the deputy head of the same service, supervised the safe production of work by the staff. Guram Javshanashvili and Nikoloz Kipshidze, deputy heads of the transport service, ensured smooth operation of transport and special equipment.
As a result of the works performed during the repair period of the 500 kV power plant “Kartli-2”, the reliability of the transmission line was significantly increased, which is very important for the sustainable and safe functioning of the energy system, as well as for the successful passage of the upcoming spring and summer flood season.
