Overview of works performed on power transmission lines of JSC “Sakrusenergo” in October 2012
E.G.Kh. “Caucasus”
During the 2-day repair of the EGK in the Georgian section, insulator replacement works were carried out on masts #74, 113, 119, 121, in total 49 PS-300 type insulators were replaced. 73-74, 78-79 and 102-103 masts and the areas around masts №64, 68, 104 collapsed.
Deforestation works were carried out on the Russian section of the “Caucasion” forest, in particular forest trees No. 27a-28, 29-30, 132-135, 437-439, 449-450, 461-462, 464-465, 468-469, 471- 472, 647-650, 652-653, 655-656, 658a-659, 661-674, 678-679, 683-684, 686-696 Maleb. Access roads to towers #119-137 and #669-673 were cleared. On the mast No. 655, the retaining gvarli of the mast robbed by foreigners was installed. Towers No. 217, No. 234, No. 388, No. 397, No. 496a, No. 711, No. 712, No. 713 were inspected in landslide-prone zones. The short-term point of ice sheet melting was observed.

Strengthening works of mast No. 260 have started, by arranging gabions. The works will probably be completed by the middle of November. Access roads to towers #266, 267, 272, 273, 278 were restored with the help of a bulldozer.
E.G.Kh. “Kartli-2”
Access roads to towers #207-213 were cleaned and made. No. 196-197 land was cut in order to restore the gauge. Mast No. 177, which had been robbed of its angles, was restored. A high-level inspection was carried out in rooms No. 172-185, No. 192-205 and No. 214-225. No. 172-292 in Mal, the numbering of the masts was updated, the name of the line was written on the masts, warning posters were hung, and defective cleats were installed on the intermediate masts, on the casts of the mast-holding wires.
In the month of October, the strengthening works of support No. 194 in the landslide-prone zone were completed by means of gabions.

Warning posters were installed in the section between the towers #1-247. No. 2, 4, 7, 20, 29, 197, 226 masts were equipped with missing spanner bolts. No. 32, 33, 36, 38, 44, 50, 51, 52, 54, 57, 60, 62, 63, 65, 67, 69, 72, 75, 76, 80, 81, 82, 83, 88, 89 , 90, 91, 92, 99, 100, 101, 102, 107, 110, 115, 117, 118, 119, 120, 121, 122, 125, 127, 128, 129, 131, 133, 134, 140, 141 , 142, 143, 145, 146, 192, 196, 200, 223, 230, mast-holding ropes were stretched on intermediate masts. No. 77, 79, 80, 81, 82, 87, 88, 91, 92, 93, 101, 102, 103, 107, 113, 117, 118, 122, 125, 137, 140, 148, 161, 162, 164 , 167, 166, 172, 173, 176, 231, arc clamps were installed on the mast’s support beams.

During the 1-day repair period of the EGK, repair work was carried out on masts #254 and #256, namely: on #254, worn-out fastening nodes were replaced, on #256, 3 broken insulators, fastening rods were replaced, and the axles of the clamp were straightened. In section #241-258, warning posters were installed on the masts.

Sections I of all masts in section No. 1-25 of EKH were cleaned of iron rust and covered with anti-corrosion paint.
