Switching works of two-chain 330 kV Egkh “1,2 transfer” wires

In the month of May of this year, a ceremonial event is planned on the Georgia-Azerbaijan border. In this regard, we have received an order from the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia for the construction of a new, double-chain 330 kV power transmission line “1.2 Gardabani” (S/S “Gardabani-500” – S/S “Agstafa”) in the border section of Georgia-Azerbaijan on May 1, 2020 In connection with the connection to Dekada, for which a two-chain, 330 kV Egkh “1.2 transfer” two, N62 and N63 masts should be installed in the area surrounding the Red Bridge in the village of Kapanakhchi, and 12 tips of АС 300/67 type wire should be stretched from the N63 mast to a two-chain, 330 kV Egkh “1” “2 Gardabani” on the N158 mast located in the border zone on the territory of Azerbaijan. The length of Mali from the N63 tower located in the territory of Georgia to the N158 tower located in the territory of Azerbaijan is 460 m. In order to implement the aforementioned, an agreement was signed with the Krasnodar metal constructions factory on March 19, 2020 for the purchase of two U330-2+9 type corner masts, which were delivered to the site on April 13. The foundations were purchased at the iron-concrete plant of Gori, and the cable at “Sakkabel”. 10,600 meters of АС 300/67 type cable are required for the total works, which include the installation of cables from the double-chain, 330 kV 1.2 Gardabani N158 mast located on the territory of Azerbaijan to the existing 330 kV Gardabani N3 mast on the territory of Georgia. Counting of the numbering of masts on the existing 330 kV power station “Gardabani” is underway from the Georgia-Azerbaijan border in the direction of “Gardabani-500”. To date, the foundations of the N62 and N63 towers have been installed, and the construction of the N63 tower is underway. Estimated date of completion of works is May 10, 2020. To date, 45 employees and 24 units of vehicles and special equipment of JSC GE “Sakrusenergo” are mobilized for the production of works. The works are carried out by the Tbilisi State Technical University and the Transport Service. Andro Tskhadadze, the manager of the operation and construction of the Western Georgia hydroelectric power plants, coordinates and monitors the progress of the work. Authorial supervision over the course of the project is carried out by Yuri Nadiradze, head of the design and planning group. The head of the labor safety service, Felix Janashia, supervises the safe production of work by the staff, who also ensures control over the implementation of the recommendations of the Ministry of IDPs from the occupied territories of Georgia, the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Protection in order to prevent the infection caused by the new corona virus in the country.
