According to the plan-schedule agreed with the National Dispatch Center of Georgia, 500 sq.m. “Assureti” was under repair from October 10, 2020 to October 24, 2020. During the period of EGK repair, important repair works were performed, which were necessary for the reliability of the transmission line and the stability of the power system. In particular: repair spiral clamps were placed on damaged wires, broken and defective transformers and insulators were replaced, protective screens were straightened. The “Assureti” transmission line moves from the “Ksani-500” station to the Didgori mountain, in the area of strong wind, which is why, in order to prevent trees from falling on the wires of the transmission line, high trees and plants were removed.
The works were carried out by the staff of Tbilisi State University and Transport Service. The progress of the works was coordinated and monitored by Vakhtang Kikvadze, the manager of operation and construction of the electric transmission lines of Eastern Georgia, who also controlled the safe performance of the works by the staff.
