The 500 sq.m. substation “Imereti” has been under repair in agreement with the National Dispatch Center of Georgia since April 8, 2019, and the repair works will last until April 21. In the mentioned period, the work of replacing broken insulators, worn out line armature, broken de-energizers, damaged wires in loops, as well as other urgent works, which will be necessary for the safe and reliable functioning of the transmission line, will be performed.
The maintenance work on “Imeret” is carried out by the staff of Zestafon and Tsalenjikh operation-repair areas.
In addition to the above-mentioned works, the anti-corrosion protection works of the metal towers N64-N77 and N83-N94 are being carried out at the 500 kV power plant “Imeret”, which is being performed by the contractor company JT Service-2009 LLC. During the period of repair of the EKH, the above-mentioned metal masts will be cleaned of rust, primed and painted. Anti-corrosion protection works will be continued on the stands of the mentioned mast after the EKG is taken out of repair.
Felix Janashia, the head of the labor safety service, gave the instruction to the staff on the safe performance of work and the prevention of infection caused by the new corona virus in the country based on the recommendations of the Ministry of IDPs from the occupied territories of Georgia, labor, health and social protection.
Valerian Nikabadze and Giorgi Kardava, the heads of Zestafoni and Tsalenjikh SSUs, coordinate and monitor the progress of the work.
