According to the plan-schedule agreed with the National Dispatch Center of Georgia, 500 sq.m. “Assureti” was put into repair on October 10, 2022. During the period of the repair of the power plant, the repair work provided for in the 2022 business plan of JSC GES Sakrusenergo should be performed, namely: inspection of certain sections between the masts, repair of damaged wires of the loops, installation of missing discharge horns on the protective wires, replacement of defective insulators, alignment of protective screens, Removal of bird’s nests, if necessary, elimination of other defects found during the top inspection, which are necessary for the reliable and safe operation of the transmission line.
Due to the volume of repair works, during the period of the repair of the former “Assureti”, the repair works are carried out by the personnel of the Tbilisi SSU and the personnel of the Khashuri SSU and the transport service.
During the repair of the transmission line, Vakhtang Kikvadze, the manager of the operation and construction of the Eastern Georgia electric power lines, coordinates the work progress, Felix Janashia, the head of the labor safety service, supervises the safe production of the work by the staff.
About 30 specialists and 10 units of special equipment of JSC GE “Sakrusenergo” have been mobilized for the repair works of 500 kV power plant “Asureti”.
As a result of carrying out the repair work, the reliability and stability of the transmission line will be significantly increased, which is very important for the successful passage of the upcoming autumn-winter period and for the uninterrupted supply of electricity to the population.
