In coordination with the National Dispatcher Center, the repair work was conducted on transmission line IMERETI (500kV) from April 2 to 16, 2019. During the mentioned period of time the following rehabilitation activities were performed on the line: the replace of broken insulators, depreciated line accessories, broken crossbars, the conductors damaged in the bights, the improvement of the clearance between the ground and conductors, restoration of pathways to the tower and ascending inception.  The anticorrosion work was conducted on the N38-N45, N47-N60 and N62 metal towers; also, other type of activities required in the process of repair work.

The personnel of Zestaphoni and Tsalenjikha exploitation-repair offices as well as the employees of Tbilisi and Khashuri exploitation-repair offices performed the restoration work on transmission line IMERETI (500 kV). The representatives of transport service also took part in the operations.  The contractor company Antikori 80 performed the anticorrosion work on the tower traverses and earth wires. Anticorrosion work on tower legs is still ongoing and it will be presumably over in May.

Andro Tskhadadze, the Exploitation and Construction manager of transmission lines of Western Georgia, was coordinating and monitoring the rehabilitation process. Feliks Djanashia, the head of the Labor Security office, and Demur Buadze, the deputy head, was observing the security measures during the work.

About 50 employees and 25 special vehicles of SAKRUSENERGO JSC were mobilized on the rehabilitation process.

It must be noted that a great volume of work was performed on IMERETI transmission line to normalize the clearance between the conductors and the earth. The ground was cut in the spans №11-№12, №19-№20, N115-N116 and N263-N264 of IMERETI transmission line. As a result of the performed operation the distance between the ground and conductors was increased from 10m to 15m.
