The repair work defined under the business plan 2022 of JSC UES SAKRUSENERGO will be performed on the transmission line IMERETI (500kV) from September 13 to October 7, 2022. It includes the following activities: reconstruction work on the N330-N340 anchorage span, the replacement of the existing Р2 type N335, N336 and N337 intermediate towers with the У2К+5 type angular ones, the replacement of the conductors damaged in the anchorage span N328-N329 in all three phases. The work is performed within the framework of the ten-year rehabilitation plan for IMERETI (500kV).
The repair period defined for the transmission line IMERETI is agreed with the national dispatcher center of Georgian State Electrosystem.
Design and cost estimate documentation have been prepared regarding the above-mentioned work. The documentation has been examined by Levan Samkharauli state National Examination Bureau and the “A” type inspection body “Engineering Monitoring Group” Ltd.
The reconstruction work in the anchorage span N330-N340 of the transmission line IMERETI (500kV) is considered to have a great relevance; In view of the mentioned an order regarding the permission on the conducting the reconstruction work is issued by the Technical and Construction Supervision Agency LEPL. The process of the reconstruction work in the anchorage span N330-N340 of the transmission line IMERETI (500kV) will be monitored by the “A” type inspection body.
Based on the terms and the scope of the repair work to be performed on the transmission line the involvement of the contractor company was considered to be appropriate. As a result of the competition New Metal Georgia Ltd will conduct the reconstruction and replacement work on N330-N340 and N328-N329 anchorage spans.
The mobilization on the site will be announced from August 20, 2022. All the required materials to be applied during the reconstruction process have been stored on the temporal base in the village Sephari.
The staff of the JST UES SAKRUSENERGO will perform the planned repair work, including replacement of the broken and dirty insulators, replacement/repair of the damaged wires in loops and spans, replacement of crossbars and line accessories. During the mentioned period of time ascending inspection of certain parts of the transmission line “IMERETI” will be conducted as well. All the above-mentioned activities are required for the safe and reliable functioning of the transmission line
