The 500 kV Mukhran substation was a power transmission line connecting the energy systems of Georgia and Azerbaijan, which connected substations “Ksani-500” and “Azsres” (Azerbaijan). The length of the power transmission line on the territory of Georgia from the substation “Ksani-500” to the Georgian-Azerbaijani border was 85 km and included 280 masts. It was commissioned in 1987. The design load of the power plant was 700 MW.<\/p>

To date, the section between the N1-N36 towers of the 500 kV “Mukhran” substation, up to the Red Bridge, has been rehabilitated and included in the “Mukhran Valley” scheme of the new 500 kV power transmission line connecting Georgia and Azerbaijan from “Gardabani-500” to “Samukh” \u201d (Azerbaijan).<\/p>

In Marneuli, after the construction of a new substation of 500\/400 kV voltage and 800 MW capacity, in 2016, the section (56.7 km) between the N280-N110 towers of the 500 kV power line “Mukhran” was connected to the “Marneuli-500” substation.The power transmission line, which connected the substations “Ksani-500” and “Marneuli-500” with Etmaneti, was given the dispatch name 500 kV “Assureti”.<\/p>

In 2019, the connection of the section (18 km) between the N109-N42 towers of the 500 kV substation “Mukhrani” to the “Marneuli-500” was implemented.
