By agreement with the National Dispatch Center of Georgia, the 500 kV IMERETI transmission line was taken out of service for maintenance on March 15 of the current year, and repair works on the line will continue through March 25.
During the outage period, works envisaged under the company’s 2024 business plan will be carried out, including the replacement of broken insulators and dampers, worn line fittings, damaged conductors in jumper loops, as well as other urgent works that may be identified during the repair process.
For the ongoing repair works on the 500 kV IMERETI transmission line, personnel and specialized equipment from Tsalenjikha, Zestafoni, and Khashuri operation and maintenance units of the JSC SAKRUSENERGO, as well as from the Transport Service, have been mobilized.
The repair works on the 500 kV IMERETI transmission line are being monitored and coordinated by Andro Tskhadadze, Manager of Transmission Line Operation and Construction for Western Georgia.
Oversight of safe work performance is carried out by Felix Janashia, Head of the Occupational Safety and Information Technologies Service, and Demur Buadze, Deputy Head of the same service.
The proper functioning of transport and special equipment is ensured by Guram Javshanashvili, Deputy Head of the Transport Service.
